TRICAT’s XpresS ex-situ pre-sulfiding process successfully activates hydroprocessing catalyst and enables refiners to simplify and accelerate their hydrotreating unit start-up procedure. XpresS treated catalyst is also passivated to allow for safe handling in air atmosphere which reduces the possibility of accidents while loading your hydrotreating unit.

Using ex-situ pre-activated catalyst will save money, reduce start-up time, and it moves the potentially hazardous sulfiding process away from the refinery.
