Guardian Grading Systems

TRICAT GUARDIAN GRADING SYSTEMS are products engineered to protect hydroprocessing reactors from iron scale buildup, bed shift, and maldistribution. These materials work together to trap fine particulates and disperse coke and gum formations that lead to feed channeling and elevated pressure drop. Guardian products are used to optimize top-bed void space and activity grading for maximum protection, cycle length, and reactor performance.

GUARDIAN-T5: Guardian-T5 is a high void-space, inert topping material possessing exceptional structural strength. It offers maximum protection against particulate collection in interstitial void spaces of lower beds, and redistribution enhancement to prevent channeling. Guardian-T5 is ideal hold-down and topping material.

GUARDIAN-CR and GUARDIAN-NR: Guardian-CR and Guardian-NR are active 3/16" hollow cylinders in either Co/Mo or Ni/Mo active site formulations, comparable in physical properties and activity to the industry's most widely accepted and used materials. These products augment Guardian-T5's particulate-trapping and redistribution capabilities. They further add optimized HDS, HDN, and HDM activities to help offset polymerization fouling in lower beds.

GUARDIAN-CT and GUARDIAN-NT: Guardian-CT and Guardian-NT are 1/10" trilobe-shaped catalysts available in either Co/Mo or Ni/Mo formulations. These quality extrudates are designed to offer all the physical properties of fresh catalyst at regenerated catalyst prices. Guardian trilobes are designed to deliver optimal top-bed activity, and are an ideal part of an effective void-space grading strategy.
